From mortgage broker to conveyancer, committed to getting every deal across the line
Matthew co-founded the firm with Mick, after spending five years as a Mortgage Broker. His interest in property started on a personal level, through his own transactions and a few joint ventures with friends, and eventually pulled him out of broking and into conveyancing full-time. It turned out to be the right fit, and he and Michael have been building the practice together ever since.
Over that time, Matthew and the team have completed more than 4,000 property transactions of all types. He enjoys the daily communication with clients most of all, and takes pride in working through any obstacles that come up so that each file moves smoothly toward settlement. For Matthew, the best part of the job is helping people achieve their home ownership goals, whether it’s a first purchase or the next step in a long property journey.
That client-first approach is the foundation he and Michael have built the firm on. Matthew believes what sets the team apart is a strong focus on communication, responding quickly, managing files efficiently, and keeping clients and stakeholders properly informed at every stage. The firm’s many five-star Google reviews reflect that approach, and Matthew takes each one as a sign the team is getting it right.
Outside of work, his focus is his wife and two young daughters, and family time takes top priority. A Bellarine local for the past six years, Matthew settled in St Leonards after growing up and living in Melbourne’s southeast for more than forty years. When he isn’t with the family, you’ll find him out on the water fishing or cheering on his beloved Collingwood. Go Pies!
